Master Jyothis’ father, abandoned him and his mother on knowing of their son’s illness. Jyothis was born with a congenital defect of his food pipe and intestine. He live with his unemployed mother and grandmother.
ASK Foundation financed more than 90% of Jyothis’ treatment cost at Aster Medcity.
Dhiya Fathima
Dhiya Fathima, a 7-year-old girl was born with Spina Bifida and Quino Varus. She underwent a soft tissue release and midfoot osteotomy at Aster Medcity. Her father chaffeurs for a living.

Anaswara
Anaswara, 3-year-old girl got admitted at Medcity with unexplained abdominal discomfort and constipation. The family who were abandoned by their father live from her mother’s income.
Her treatment and evaluation costs were supported by ASK.
Samarth
Samarth a 1-year-old boy was admitted to Aster Medcity with iron poisoning. He had accidentally ingested the tablets. Samarth was rushed here and treated at our PICU.
He belongs to an interior part of palakkad district and parents are coolie workers .
The family was supported financially by ASK towards the treatment
Rehan
It was late evening when Haji Sayyid, father of 13-year-old Rehan found out that his son was running a very high temperature and was also having trouble breathing.
After suffering a severe cardiac arrest, Rehan has been diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia and septicemia. Both his lungs were affected by pneumonia and he had severe difficulty in breathing. Haji is a street hawker and there was no way that he could save his son unless he got help. With no money on himself and huge debts to pay, Haji doesn’t know how he could save his son.
His treatment cost was supported by ASK Foundation through online crowd funding. Master Rehan made good recovery and was discharged home safely. He will be going back to school soon.
Anusha
4-year-old girl Anusha came to Aster Medcity with a high-grade fever and seizures. An electroencephalogram test was done. This is used to diagnose the electrical activity of the brain to look for abnormal discharges. It showed focal epileptic discharges from the right two brain lobes. She was diagnosed to have Viral Encephalitis.
She was successfully treated by our Neurology and Paediatric Intensive care team.
Anusha's father is an Aluminium fabricator. He was supported financially by Aster Sick Kids Foundation to help cover Anusha's treatment costs.
Vagish P
8-year-old Vagish P has undergone multiple surgeries. The patient came through a pediatric medical camp conducted at Palakkad by ASK Foundation. The family of 6 live on 5 cents of land at an interior place of Palakkad. His Father is a private taxi driver.
Vagish suffers from a condition called Radial Club Hand that has caused his left arm to be deformed.
He underwent a corrective surgery for his condition in several sitting at Aster Medcity Cochin.His father was supported financially by Aster Sick Kids Foundation

The diaphragm (Ancient Greek: diáphragma, meaning partition), is a sheet of muscle that separates the chest and stomach cavities. Sometimes a defect in the diaphragm at birth can cause the contents of the abdomen to slide into the chest cavity. Babies born with this condition can have severe breathing difficulties. The condition is called Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia.
Baby of Sheherban , was admitted at Medcity with this disease. Both his parents are orphans. Having no support from home, the couple could barely manage finances required for a sophisticated procedure to correct their son's hernia. Aster Sick Kids Foundation supported them. The hernia was successfully repaired.
