5-year-old Zainudheen P.H has been long suffering. He has had chronic rectal ulcers for which multiple surgeries and treatments were done. Most recently he had undergone a colostomy as temporary measure for treatment of his ulcers. He now underwent closure of this previously performed colostomy. His father is a semi-skilled worker and supports the family on his negligible income.

Master Ajeesh,a 17-year-old, is an inmate of Capernaum Orphanage, Pachalam. He was brought to Aster Medcity with anemia and a foot ulcer which was refusing to heal. He required extensive treatments under our pediatric services including skin grafting. The boy made a miraculous recovery.

Master Dileep Gujar
Master Dileep Gujar, a 8-year-old boy suffers from a neuroenteric cyst in his spine. As a result of this the boy has difficulty in walking. He was once operated but the cyst grew back. He underwent surgery a second time to have it removed.
The family are migrants from Rajasthan and his Father works in sales at a computer store for a small income.

Miss Anha A.S, a 6 year old girl was admitted at Medcity with a brain tumor and had to undergo surgery. The total cost for the treatment was upwards of 600,000. Her father runs a stationery and his earnings are just enough to meet the family’s day to day.

Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia is a type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes too many immature lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell).
Faiha Fathima, a 2-year-old girl with this deadly affliction is undergoing several cycles of chemotherapy at Aster. Her treatment costs required for chemo are estimated to be close to Rs. 5 lakhs. Her Father is a tipper driver and the family's sole breadwinner.

Amra Hanoon
Amra Hanoon, a 4-year-old girl, suffers from the deadly Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She is undergoing chemotherapy at Aster Medcity for it. The family live on a small property at interior Perumbavoor, Kochi. They run a tea stall which is the only means of their livelihood.

Perthes disease is a rare childhood condition that affects the hip. It occurs when the blood supply to the rounded head of the femur (thighbone) is temporarily disrupted. Without an adequate blood supply, the bone cells die, a process called avascular necrosis. The disease results in deformities which require multiple procedures for correction.
