Ziya was brought one night to Aster Medcity's emergency department. She was having severe seizures which weren't controllable with the medicines she was on. Ziya had been diagnosed with Epilepsy after birth and has been suffering since. She improves on treatment and then worsens a few months maybe even few days later. Treatment for Ziya's illness was expensive.
Aster Sick Kids Foundation supported her treatment. Little Ziya was treated and made better by a specialised team of doctors in Aster's Pediatric Intensive care.

Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) is a condition where babies are born with a hole in the diaphragm. The diaphragm is muscle that separates the chest from the belly. Normally, the heart and lungs are in the chest and the intestines and other organs are in the abdomen. When there is a hole in the diaphragm, organs from the abdomen can go through the defect into the chest cavity.
Mrs. Shajitha's new born was found to have CDH. She could not breath effectively and was put on ventilator. The Pediatric surgery team at Aster Medcity Performed a live saving operation and repaired the hernia.
The family consisting of Shajitha's husband, a Madrasa teacher and his two other children live in a foster home. ASK supported the treatment financially.

Fayis's spleen was removed and the blood going to his stomach was interrupted. A major chunk of Fayis' treatment was supported by ASK Foundation.
